Zed Plus is a mildly engaging but overall patchy attempt at political satire from the man who gave us the memorable Doordarshan serial, ‘Chanakya’. The film allows a bunch of talented actors to rise above second rung roles and take centre stage. The good thing about the movie is that there are still people attempting a satirical look at power and pelf and politics, and seeing how the public and personal intersects but the bad thing is that it is not effective enough. Overall, ‘Zed Plus’ may not be perfect but it doesn’t insult your intelligence like most Friday fare.
