Yaara Silly Silly is an overly dramatic portrayal of human morality. While the movie has an intense concept for creating general awareness, its execution hasn’t been done full-heartedly. Howsoever noble the idea may sound during first few instances of movie, its backdrop soon turns into shady and unreasonable plot. However, in Yaara Silly Silly, the melodrama and unnecessary addition of plot sequences tends to completely distract the audience as well as the movie away from the actor. The screenplay is dreary, desperately trying to exaggerate the unethical beliefs persistent in society. After a point, Yaara Silly Silly transforms itself into a dark sentimental drama, which seems too pretentious at just one glance. After trying to muddle up multiple social devilries, the movie fails to put forward any strong and valid conclusion. If you have nothing better to do this weekend, maybe this movie can help you pass few minutes of your day.

A foul-mouthed whore and a gentle-voiced young fellow are thrown together for a night, and the time they spend together impacts both strongly: the premise has promise, but nothing in the film delivers on it. Nothing delivers in ‘Yaara Silly Silly’; not Parambrata Chatterjee, not Paoli Dam and most definitely not the film, which is exploitative in the extreme.

Only for the first few scenes of the film, you'll have the urge to appreciate the novel idea it brings to the table - of twin souls - which isn't quite the same thing as soulmates. But, soon enough its tacky production, overdramatic sequences and novice actors will distract you. Parambrata, who is a known face in Bengali films and is best remembered in Bollywood for his role in Kahaani, is utterly wasted in the movie. The Hate Story bombshell Paoli Dam makes a comeback in a forgettable role. In a nutshell, this film is one unmemorable ham-fest. After 107 minutes of incessant rambling about righteousness and morality, the film attempts to end on an inventive note but that hardly compensates for the pain it inflicts on you for its runtime. Yaara Silly Silly is sillier than it claims to be. Avoid it and spare yourself the challenge of surviving this vile affair.
