Shalini is a housewife, who is about to shoot herself with her husband's gun, when she is interrupted by her ten-year-old daughter from her first marriage, Kali. Shalini calls her husband, Police Chief Shoumik Bose asking for money, but he refuses. Her brother Siddhant goes to the police station and tries to convince Bose in smuggling iPhones. Rahul takes Kali to a work assignment, where she chooses to stay in the car while he goes to see casting director, Chaitanya, who is not there. Whilst Rahul is gone, a street seller tries to catch Kali's attention with children's masks. Chaitanya then arrives and gives him his scenes for a role. He informs Rahul that Kali was not in his car. Both rush down and see that she is missing. They ask nearby people in the marketplace about her when Chaitanya asks a mask-seller about Kali and notices that he has Kali's phone. He asks him about the phone when he runs away. They start chasing him, but he is killed by a car. Both then go to the police station to report Kali's disappearance. The local police inspector Jadhav, asks Rahul why he was travelling with his daughter, on which he mentions that he has been divorced from his wife and he can only meet Kali every Saturday. Two officers find out the house of the mask-seller and ask his mother about their association with the kidnapping, which she denies.

Jadhav, while checking Rahul's phone finds out that Kali is the step-daughter of his Police Chief Bose. Bose taps Shalini's phone and listens to her conversation with Rakhee, a B-grade film actress. Jadhav informs Bose about the kidnapping of her daughter who arrives at the place where both Rahul and Chaitanya are with the officers and beats Chaitanya. Bose accuses Rahul of the kidnapping and shows him the recording of Rahul and Shaini's conversation where Shalini did not want Kali to meet him. Bose beats him reminding him of college days when he used to bully him. Chaitanya then calls at Rahul's phone with a disguised voice from new sim card and demands ransom, which is picked by Bose. Chaitanya also informs his agent to conduct an audition of ten-year-old girls to re-create dialogues for a ransom call. Next day, Jadhav and other officer follow Chaitanya into his office, where they tap his phone and finds out that he is in debt. He is arrested on suspicion. Rahul escapes from the police captivity after a doctor arrives at the place for his check-up. Later, Bose hears one of Shalini's conversation, in which she explains how Rahul used to beat her after marriage and she met Bose after the police complaint. Jadhav interrogates Chaitanya who says that he had called for ransom because Bose was more interested in his personal grudge with Rahul than the kidnapping. Rahul calls at his number when Bose arrives at that place telling him that Chaitanya cannot kidnap her since he knows that he has no money. Police start search operation in the city and in other states as well.

Chaitanya selects and records one voice of a captive girl pleading to her father from the audition and plays it in Rahul's call, while demanding ransom in his disguised voice. Rahul who is at Rakhee's place, tells Chaitanya about the call, which is tapped by the police. Chaitanya tells him to talk to Bose, who can arrange the money. Later, Shalini goes to Rakhee's house where she tells her to give the money to the kidnappers. Later, Chaitanya is captured by the police and Rahul escapes while buying pistols from a man in a bar. Next day, Rahul retains the gun he had thrown in a lake and robs a Jewelry store, but is arrested by police. Rakhee calls Rahul, and using the same recorded voice like Chaitanya, demands ransom. Siddhant also makes a ransom call of ₹50 lakh (US$78,000) to Shalini, who asks her father for ₹65 lakh (US$100,000). She hides ₹15 lakh (US$23,000) and delivers the rest. Rakhee eventually flees, stealing the money. Bose asks her about the money, but she does not answer and shots him in the shoulder. Siddhant is then arrested with the money. Jadhav tells Rahul to deliver the money to the kidnapper but Chaitanya evades police interception and throws the GPS and phone. Rahul then gets into the caller's car with the money. Rahul, Chaitanya, and Rakhee are together with the money and Rahul calls Bose to taunt him, to which he replies by asking if Kali is with him. Rahul then realises that Bose truly does not know where Kali is and flies into a rage at Chaitanya, since he had assured him that Bose had Kali. He kills Chaitanya in anger, whilst Rakhee quietly leaves with the money. The police revisit the marketplace and talk to a woman who knew the mask seller, and finds out that they have a history of abducting children. The woman finally leads the police to Kali inside the trunk of a bike, where she is found dead. The police discover that she was actually kidnapped by the mask seller, who hid her and then was unable to release her since he died in the chase.
