The story is about three virtuous Bihari boys who commit an idiotic crime themselves, much against their own values and beliefs. The story of the movie is quite relevant but the picturization fails to bring about a solid story. They believe that unlike people's opinion, their state can progress if locals change their mindset. All they do is preach and then commit an idiotic crime themselves, much against their own values and beliefs. The plot knits their lives when life gets from bad to worse. Their way to reach the destiny is beautifully displaced on screen by the effortless performances of the talented cast. You empathize and feel sorry for them when they resort to take the easy way out to make money and unfortunately fail in their mission. The second half looks like a different film in itself, with no connection to the beginning. Few of the scenes are stupid. With the core dramatic issue of tackling corruption and youth migration from Bihar, the film is over all a socio-political tale that is based on true incidents.
Though we were told that the film was simultaneously made in two languages, this looks like a Hindi dub of the original Bhojpuri film called Deswa (2011). The social drama intends to make people across the country empathize with the Bihari youth, because of the lack of opportunities in the state and the hurdles they must overcome to earn a dignified living. The idea is to tell why many end up migrating to other states and why the situation isn't changing. While the story is relevant, setting authentic and performances decent, the sluggish pace is sleep-inducing. Also, the second half looks like a different film in itself, with no connection to the beginning. Few of the scenes are daft. Why would three kidnappers tell their motive to the man they kidnapped! Sadly, all they do is preach and then commit an idiotic crime themselves, much against their own values and beliefs. The inability to expand the basic idea into a solid story lets this otherwise well-intentioned film down.
