Directed by Munish Bhardwaj, Moh Maya Money features Ranvir Shorey, Neha Dhupia and Vidushi Mehra. The film is about an over ambitious man, Aman (Ranvir) who wants to provide all the luxuries to his loving wife Divya (Neha) who is a journalist. The first half of the movie is quite interesting and makes you curious about the things which are meant to reveal later, in the second half. All the characters in the movie are inter-connected and which add to positivity of the movie. All the actors have portrayed their role beautifully and Neha Dhupia’s has given one of her best performances so far. The film is more realistic than a dramatic one. This movie may be benefited by the demonetization rule as it also aims on black money consequences. On the whole, the movie is one-time watch and keeps you engaged with its suspense’s till the end.
Aman (Ranvir Shorey) is a glib talking estate agent who longs to make it big. Ranvir Shorey has played characters from Delhi in his previous films, and like every time, it's a joy to watch him play them. He's a total scum yet capable of loving selflessly. He is a product of his environment where a scam pulled off neatly is a job well done. Neha Dhupia as Divya just about holds her own as a cold and calculative woman because her character is written so well. While her world is white, the secrets she is party to are just as dark, if not more, than her husband's. But when she realises the emotional toll that life is taking on her, makes for an interesting watch. The story builds quite well and keeps you guessing. The twists are interesting, unexpected and add to the story. It has a non-linear narrative, but it's not tough to follow. However, the loose ends could have been tied up well, and the end leaves you wanting more. Moh Maya Money is a well-made crime thriller, where the characters may be cheating each other, but you'll sure get your money's worth.
