‘Bhopal A Prayer For Rain’ is Ravi Kumar's second film as a director (the first one being the rather forgettable Hello Girls). With this film, Kumar has indeed come a long way as a filmmaker. The problem with this film, though, is that despite having some of the most remarkable performances by almost all the actors, their characters do not develop as much as one would expect in a story like this. Maybe it was the director's call to keep the movie short and crisp, but it does hamper the film making the characters look half baked and incomplete. Bhopal: A Prayer For Rain, is an honest yet haunting film. The images of those who suffered will stay with you for quite some time. The film is an average film but is surely a one-time watch!
Bhopal: A Prayer For Rain is a must-watch, for the sheer gravity of the criminal incident that remains unresolved three decades after it occurred.
Bhopal: A Prayer for Rain is a story that needed to be told. Filmmaker has captured everything that this drama needed. However the quality of production could have been better.
It has its shares of flaws and lows, but Bhopal: A Prayer for Rain is still a must-see film for the courage of its conviction, if for nothing else.
Bhopal: A Prayer For Rain, is an honest yet haunting film. The film makes no compromises with the truth and refuses to protect those guilty of the disaster.
What makes the film worth your time is the way it states, unequivocally, what happened is inhuman and could have been avoided.
Disturbing, timely and hard-hitting film. Not to be missed.
