Indian horror film, Alone is a remake of 2007 Thai film "Alone". Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover are playing the lead roles in the movie. It is directed by Bhushan Patel.
The movie starts with the story of Sanjana (Bipasha Basu) and her husband, Kabir (Karan Singh Grover), where both of them are forced to return to Kerala after Sanjana’s mother meets with an accident in the outhouse. Sanjana begins having paranormal visions about her painful past and she starts believing that her dead conjoined twin’s soul has returned to haunt her. However, her husband is unable to believe her and sends her to his former professor for spiritual healing.
During the healing sessions, Sanjana reveals to the professor, how her twin conjoined sister, Anjana (Bipasha Basu) had always disliked her and on the news of Kabir returning, Anjana decided to separate from Sanjana. Anjana died during the operation and Sanjana blames herself for her sister's death. Further in the movie, Sanjana is possessed by Anjana's soul and feels overwhelmed in Kabir's company.
The caretaker suggest for a ritual to be performed resulting in exorcism being called in.
During the exorcism, Anjana revealed to Kabir that she was killed and urged him to find her murderer. Sanjana confesses to Kabir that she had accidentally killed Anjana in one of the heated arguments which took place between the two sisters before Kabir returned. Sanjana's mother had tried to hide the murder in order to save her daughter.
But, interestingly while digging for Anjana's dead body, Kabir catches sight of the locket which he had gifted to Sanjana. When Kabir confronts her for the truth, she finally admits that she is Anjana and she had killed her sister with the music box. Anjana tries to stop Kabir by hitting him on his head with a chair. At this point, Sanjana's soul stops Anjana and the burning roof falls on her, thus saving Kabir and the professor in the end.
