31 October is a story about one night. The thriller movie is on a Sikh family trapped in a riot-affected part of Delhi during the anti-Sikh riots, following Indira Gandhi's assassination. The film is a true story of the family who survived the riots on the night of Oct 31 that year. It is a story of human emotions, conflicts, survival and friendship. Vir Das and Soha Ali Khan will be seen in altogether different looks in the film. It depicts one of the most important dates in Indian history, the day India lost its Prime Minister,  Indira Gandhi, who was shot dead by her own bodyguards.
